Help

This page is the working guide for how the site fits together. Roster, test pieces, rankings, planning, calendar, and imports all feed one another, so the goal is to enter data once and reuse it everywhere.

Getting Started

Recommended operating flow

1. Start with roster data so availability, squad structure, and athlete records can feed the rest of the operating view.

2. Add test history and evaluations so rankings and lineup tools reflect current information instead of one-off notes.

3. Use Rankings to set how performance is weighted for the season or the moment you are coaching through.

4. Use Practice Lineups and Practice Schedule to keep daily work, weekly rhythm, and seat assignments aligned.

5. Keep Calendar, Equipment, Shopping, and Notifications current so logistics live beside athlete context.

Roster

Store athlete and coxswain records.

Roster is the source of truth for athlete identity, squad, graduation year, side, injuries, notes, and technique or cox evaluation scores.

Coxswains appear in both men’s and women’s roster views. Archived athletes stay in history but are removed from active lineup tools.

Open Roster

Test Pieces

Track history by piece and date.

Test Pieces stores 2k, 6k, 30m, and other historical results by athlete and date.

PR and Recent values flow from this page into Rankings, and manual roster PRs can backfill the test sheet when full history is missing.

Open Test Pieces

Rankings

Score athletes relative to teammates.

Rankings compares rowers and coxswains using only the metrics you turn on for the active season profile.

Race Readiness, erg tests, technique average, and cox metrics can all be weighted differently depending on what matters most right now.

Practice Lineups

Build practice boats and track involvement.

Practice Lineups is the day-to-day work surface for weekly practice decisions, not a race predictor. Use it to organize boats, absences, and workload clearly.

Saved team categories drive separate planner views so each program can keep practice organization aligned with its own structure.

Open Practice Lineups

Calendar

Track events across the month.

Calendar is for races, travel, team events, and multi-day event blocks. Use the plus button to add events and click existing events to edit them.

Calendar also supports schedule imports so season events can be loaded in bulk.

Open Schedule

Practice Schedule

Set one weekly template per season.

Practice Schedule stores a repeatable weekly template for each season, giving staff a shared operating rhythm instead of one-off updates.

You can assign one session to multiple categories, filter visible groups, and edit practices directly from the schedule view.

Open Practice Schedule

Equipment

Track shells and oars separately.

Equipment lets you add shells and oars through separate entry paths, store assignment and weight-class information, and archive equipment without deleting it.

Concept2 oar details can be tracked by discipline, blade, shaft, grip, and set information.

Open Equipment

Regatta

Plan race day entries and logistics.

Regatta is for building race plans, assigning entries, and keeping event-day organization connected to your team categories.

Use it when the work shifts from daily practice lineups to race-specific crews and event structure.

Open Regatta

Race Review

Review completed races.

Race Review keeps post-race notes, context, and follow-up work beside the crews and events they came from.

Use it to turn race-day observations into clearer coaching priorities for the next training block.

Open Race Review

Historical Results

Compare imported race history.

Historical Results stores race-result imports so past performance can support Race Readiness and longer-term comparisons.

Use it when you want lineup and ranking decisions to include what athletes have done in actual racing.

Open Historical Results

Imports

Use bulk imports when data already lives in spreadsheets.

Imports supports Schedule, Race Results, Test Pieces, Roster, and Rankings uploads with matching templates.

Those imports update the right area of the site directly, so calendar events, historical comparisons, athlete records, and ranking inputs can all be maintained in bulk.
